Usually only worm when you need to and for what you need - they have now discovered horses can become tolerant to wormer and then it has no effect.<br /><br />I usually do a fecal to see - or worm every 4-6 months. Some horses are higher shedders, and they need to be wormed more often. The best thing is to turn out the high shedders together, and the low shedders together. Low shedders may only need to be wormed once a year. Pasture maintenance and fecal tests are the way to go.Boss Mare Eventinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08039910692009593158noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9044855508651000032.post-55208995513248525942014-07-02T13:55:52.447-07:002014-07-02T13:55:52.447-07:00He says what I am doing is great :) We have never ...He says what I am doing is great :) We have never had any worm issues, I was just wondering what others did... we have a lot of in and out at the barn and the barn across the street and I haven't had any issues (praise the Lord!!) yet cause I am all over it lol!Karleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09196824979284472867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9044855508651000032.post-90232992036841959412014-07-02T13:53:02.386-07:002014-07-02T13:53:02.386-07:00I'll have to look into it.. we haven't had...I'll have to look into it.. we haven't had any worm issues thankfully!Karleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09196824979284472867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9044855508651000032.post-60627817407859844622014-07-02T13:52:07.623-07:002014-07-02T13:52:07.623-07:00Nice :)Nice :)Karleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09196824979284472867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9044855508651000032.post-86729325967262148292014-07-02T13:51:52.546-07:002014-07-02T13:51:52.546-07:00It may grow on me!! :)It may grow on me!! :)Karleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09196824979284472867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9044855508651000032.post-55726146548276614572014-07-01T16:08:59.256-07:002014-07-01T16:08:59.256-07:00I'm like Sarah - I fecal test (but I only do i...I'm like Sarah - I fecal test (but I only do it twice a year, which is what my vet recommended) and I only worm when I need to based on the results. My vet suggested it because apparently some horses become immune to worming. They are ugly, but worth it to protect your skin in the long run. :)<br />I just use the yearly wormer packs from Valley Vet: http://www.valleyvet.com/ct_detail.html?pgguid=584eb085-1ac4-4111-b25c-a5e25af4b8c7&ccd=IGO043&gclid=CJzwsbXdor8CFas-MgodhTYADA <br />Love it because it's cheaper than buying each individual wormer and the pack comes with a little paper that tells you what to give when based upon high season for whatever each is better at killing. It's a 2 month span between wormers, too. :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9044855508651000032.post-83569485645297744862014-06-30T16:16:08.052-07:002014-06-30T16:16:08.052-07:00With Ghazal I rotate with whatever my sister wants...With Ghazal I rotate with whatever my sister wants me to use.
