it's a gag.. he can get strong. I ride almost all the time off the snaffle (it's just a simple snaffle in his mouth) but when needed I can pick up the 2nd rein and have a little more brakes to remind him im there :)
Henry doesn't have a "bit" per say ... we ride him in all sorts of things. Haha. It's all part of the training process to find what works best for him in that phase of his training.

The nose band is raw hide (smooth).
