So everyone has been making goals and I am longing to make some... as much as I would love to be able to do what I had planned in 2014- move up to the Adult Am Hunters (2'9-3'), that will have to wait till 2015 since... I'm pregnant :) Other then feeling really sick all the time and super weak, we are very excited!
So now you know what I haven't been jumping much lately and probably will just flat from here on out :)
So my goals for 2014 are...
- Ride as long as possible- this will be pretty much all flat riding to make sure that I am as safe as I can be.
- Get back in the saddle asap after baby is born- the Dr says 12 weeks post c-cession but I wasn't able to wait that long last time so I doubt I will wait that long this time ha! I will be sure to take it slow but won't be waiting 3 months ;)
Our vacation was good and I am happy to be back... I missed Henry, my bed and my schedule!

DeleteCongrats Congrats! That is so exciting for you and your family! I will love reading about your riding throughout your pregnancy. It's something that you don't hear discussed all too often and something that I will someday be going through and am interested in now how to handle those 9 months with horses! Congrats again!
ReplyDeleteThe first time around I rode till 6 months- this time around it's been so much harder and I'm only 14 weeks!!
DeleteCONGRATS!!! another bloggy July baby!! You must be just a couple weeks behind me :)

DeleteYou know I'm already excited :) I think I was told 6 weeks post C last time. It will be a bridge to cross when you get there :)
ReplyDeleteYeah idk how they ever thought I'd withhold from physical activity for 3 months!!! Maybe it's because she knew I would ride half assed? Lol ... I did start with 3 horses going into the last pregnancy ;)
DeleteYay!! Congrats!! Babies are a blessing. :)
ReplyDeleteYes they are! :)
DeleteOmg squee! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteBig congrats on the new baby :) I love little ones, and shopping for them haha!

Thanks Aoife!!!
DeleteCongratulations:)!
ReplyDeleteCongrats girl!! I'm so excited for you. :) Two babies are so much fun, ask me how I know. I was back in the saddle 2 weeks after my second. I didn't do anything more than walk around, but I just couldn't wait! Yay babies!
ReplyDeleteI had an emergency c-section with the first so there was no way I was doing anything for the first few weeks... Standing alone was a trick- I swore I was going to tear in half lol!
DeleteCongrats! I was wondering if or when you were going to have another little one. I hope you start feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteI rode until about 30 weeks. I ended up waiting the six weeks required before riding again, but I felt up to it at two weeks. I decided to play it safe since she was my first baby and she was nursing nonstop anyway.
Yep another is on the way :)
DeleteI am not sure how long i'll ride this time around ... it's a whole different pregnancy- which makes sense since I was sliced in half last time and my body isn't whole like it was last time :)
Yay congrats! That is so exciting :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!

DeleteThere is always next year!
ReplyDeleteYep- hopefully I can get my act together by 2015. If not 2016 is good too ha!
DeleteCongrats!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I'm kinda relieved I'm doing horses well after having babies. Selfish me doesn't have to stop riding ;D Though I do have to balance shows and college tuition, lol!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteYes stopping is HARD!
You have no idea how excited I am for you!!! -The benefit to myself in reading your blog and seeing how it goes with riding and the pregnancy together are just another added bonus. :) One of my biggest fears of having a baby is losing the riding time, but I know that hearing it from you is going to put me at ease because you're one tough rider and won't let it stop you. Hearing this from people at the barn also puts me at ease (and one even got to the point of a few days before due just lunging in the round pen because she had to get out to the barn). Excited to read and learn as well as hear about your progress and excitement/journey through it all!
ReplyDeleteI rode till I was about 6 months with my first and the rides weren't hard core but it was nice to keep going. I only stopped because my balance was off and my belly was in the way too much to keep going.
DeleteIt's def possible to stay in the saddle while prego as long as you are comfortable, your horse is safe and you take it easy :)
Major congrats girl!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Emily! :)
DeleteCongrats!! Seems like the blogger world is getting bigger by the day ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that is such exciting news! It seems like a lot of bloggers are pregnant these days. Just think - another equestrian in the making!
ReplyDeleteThanks! We are populating the equestrian world's future haha!
DeleteCongrats to you and your family!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kelly!
DeleteOMG! Somehow I missed this...I must have been off the grid. Congrats! I'm so happy to read about others who elect to ride while pregnant. I have so many non-horse people around me who tell me all the time I'd have to completely stop. My mom rode to 8 & 1/2 months with me and although I doubt I'd ever be able to do that, I do intend to ride as long as possible if I decide to have a baby someday. So excited for you and your family!
