We had some big family things happen this week- all good- so my life is about to be a whole lot crazier the next 27 weeks.
So Sunday Henry got turned out by Juliana- big thanks!
Monday I went out and had about a 2 hour window to ride. When I got there my trainer was just about to start clipping Henry so I helped. He was really good- got frigidity at the end which I don't blame him for cause the fly's were baaaadddd- they were even driving me nuts. Yes it's November and 80 degrees outside and there are fly's!
After the clipping i put him out in turn out for 10 min to help clean up and let him roll in-case he was itchy. Then I lunged him to make him work a little since I was out of time to ride.
Without further ado, the new hair cut :)
He looks so good and shinny! All that grooming, good feed and supplements!
B and I went back up last night to put a blanket on him since it got down to like 49/50 last night.
Lesson tonight, off Wednesday, lesson Thursday, trainer ride Friday and idk about Saturday.
Love the new hairdo!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteHe's shiny! 27 weeks feels like a long time but I'm sure it will fly by.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping it will! :)
DeleteI know I am glad that all my elbow grease in grooming shows! haha!
The "do" is sharp, and he is super shiny! (are congratulations in order?!)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteKind of- Hubby is embarking on a new career and the training is quite intense to say the least :) But it will be worth it in 27 weeks when he is done!
This is what I was wondering too! Congrats to hubby then!
DeleteAnd the clip is very nice, for sure. :)
Thanks and thanks! :)
DeleteCongrats to your family! Sounds like a very cool new avenue for you guys!
ReplyDeleteHenry looks super!!! Why did you go with the blanket clip? Just curious :)
Thank you!
DeleteWe thought we'd try this first and if needed- we can clip more off :) I don't want to much "extra horse" when the cold wind blows haha!
Haha that's smart. Houston might be more horse and he really isn't as fuzzy as some of the horses in the barn but my patience is nonexistent! Haha
Deletehaha yeah it was taking WAY TO LONG for Henry to dry- our rides are hard core and he is covered in sweat by the end of each one. lol
DeleteI can't get over the difference in his coat color! He's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
DeleteLove it!! Congrats on new ventures and a shiny pony!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!
DeleteHe looks great in person, and actually wasn't being too nuts from the change, we'll see how he does when the temp finally dips ;)
ReplyDeleteIm hoping he stays good and i think if I keep riding him consistently like i have been, we will be a-ok :)
DeleteOMG! Henry looks absolutely adorable. And so shiny. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteWow! is he shiny!! I need to get Loki on his program. :)
ReplyDeleteHaha!!! lots of grooming, lots of hay, lots of riding, Smartcombo supplement from Smartpak and a mix of Strategy/Ultium (3-5 quarts a night)... I am sure genetics help too lol
DeleteHenry looks super handsome sporting his new do!
ReplyDeleteLove the family pic in the new banner!
Thanks girl :)
DeleteLove his hair cut!
