A medium rise breech fits me best (thankfully I found some TS that I LOVE), I have a long upper body and with a low rise I can't keep my shirts tucked in and with a high rise- they cut me funny because of my longer torso. My body isn't made for them, sadly!

DeleteI hate high rise too because none of my pants are high rise (in the real world). I don't mind a medium rise, but my torso is short so it always feels way too high

ReplyDeleteI think I have a long torso relative to my body too. It's odd because you'd think a high-rise would work best with long torso but I agree, that's not so. Or maybe it's just I don't wear high rise anywhere else, so it feels weird in riding pants? I feel like the look only really works with very thin, tall people.
ReplyDeleteMy issue with too low a rise is like yours - it can be a problem when jumping and your hip angle closes, therefore stretching the fabric/pulling the waist line down and your shirt not staying tucked. Also, I'm reasonably thin but not without some excess and I feel just plain fat if the rise is too low. No one wants stuff spilling out that shouldn't!
