Hey 2014, welcome!

Oops I fell off the wagon again, sorry!

Monday I had to work so I went out to the barn with B after work and hacked. No one was around and Henry was um... opinionated. I worked on forward without head in the air and his transitions. I wanted them crisp and correct. Henry hates being ridden alone so it was good for him but LOTS of work for me.

As I was cooling him out, someone showed up so we joked about being spoiled and having the arena to ourselves :)

Tuesday I ended 2013 right with a ride and Henry got a school jump :)

Wednesday we started the new years off right and I gave Grayson a bath and spent some time with him.

Cutie Patutie

Following me around :)

Hopefully I can get a hack tonight, idk about this weekend cause hubby's schedule changed and he is now working weekends... we shall see what my new normal is :)

Now the horsey things that I got for Christmas are...

Head Stall for Grayson
Teskey's Basket Fixed One Ear - Chestnut

New Spur Straps
Teskey's Chestnut Floral Stamped Spur Straps

New Split Reins

Hunter wellies and the inserts I've been eyeing for a long time

Hope you all had a great Christmas and New Years (I fell asleep at 8 pm lol oops!)

  1. So do you ride western too? What are you going to do with Grayson? I use to barrel race/pole bending/western pleasure/trail etc. I always wanted to learn to work cows!

    1. I can handle my own in a western saddle but Hunters is my thing :)

Grayson's parents are cow/all around horses.. the plan with him is to have a well mannered, good minded horse that I can maybe sort with, pretend to rope off off and that hubby can ride. I've sorted and scored from the box but never actually thrown a rope :)

I am taking him as many places as I can right now so that when it's time to get on him, he won't be phased by anything... a good none spookie mind is #1 :)

One day I want to do reining but that won't be for a while.
