Last night I had my last lesson before the show.. dun dun dun.
Henry was good.. I felt like we had a solid ride on the flat. He was composed, I was soft, he was in the frame and I think we looked good! :)
Then we moved on the some jumping... nerves kicked in. After a few times back and forth I felt better. He was good, we worked on leads after the jumps.
I am sure that I am going to be freaking out at the show but I've got to suck it up and be brave for both of us. Henry has been working so hard for me and being honest and I need to support him and be sure that we are going to jump everything- no doubt :)
Hack today, trainer ride tomorrow, bath/show prep tomorrow afternoon and the SHOW Sunday :)
Yay!!! Good thing you had the nerves kick in on this ride - you got to practice handling them so you'll be more equipped at the show. Hope you can get some show pics to share. The mantra I try to keep on loop in my brain on show day is "We are here to have fun! I need to make sure my horse has a positive experience"
