Calling all the expert equestrian shoppers!

I am in need of your help with belts, thick belts... I think like 2 inch ish ones and don't want to spend $150 on one.

Mango Bay made these cool Turkish belts (I think that is what they were called) and I bought one but it doesn't look like she's making them anymore....

Most of my breeches have the wide loops and I'd like more then one belt to chose from :)

Do share  your favs and where to get them!

  1. I have a couple Brighton belts that are perfect. We have an outlet store where I find them cheaper. Also I have a Ralph Lauren one. It was expensive but I have had it for many years and it still looks great!

  2. I see one of the tapestry belts left on the MB website, plus some of the fabric ones which are 1 3/4". I know she told me she's coming out with new 2" canvas styles so it might be worth contacting her to ask. Otherwise, Target is the best for cheap belts.

  3. Depending on your waist size and what you're looking for, men's belts are cheaper than woman's. I've gotten some nice men's belts for 30-50% less than woman's belts.

  4. I second Target. I got my last show belt at Walmart for $10 and its probably 2".

  5. I got mine from Bartville Harness in Pennsylvania. They are an Amish leather goods company (they actually make all the Nunn Finer products) -- they don't have a website but you can mail order with them, or call and they can make you anything you want!

  6. If you don't need leather, C4 makes some great 2" belts. And they come in all sorts of colors so you can do conservative OR flashy. I just got one at Rolex and like it.

  10. I bought a plain, wide, light brown belt at Old Navy YEARS ago and have worn it on my breeches ever since. I own some MB belts and while I love them I still find myself going back to the $10 ON belt time and time again.

  16. I love equiport belts, I'm unsure if they sell them in the US but I'm pretty sure you'd be able to find them on ebay if you can't find a supplier.

  19. I bought my absolute favorite belt used on eBay. It's a 2" thick lizard print leather belt by Ralph Lauren. So that's an option, I basically just searched for 2" leather belt and found what I was looking for!
