He's so fat!!!

Seriously Henry has packed on the pounds!! I have cut out his extra hay and grain but he still is chunky! I know he isn't in much work but I'm doing what I can to keep him moving... maybe he is gaining sympathy weight since I'm prego? ;) lol

Birthday workout

Just call him mr tubby :)

Birthday "cake" for Henry made by B :)

Wednesday he got turned out for a few hours, we had dinner plans so i wasn't able to work him.

Tonight he will get a nice lunge in the bitting harness and hopefully we can keep chipping away at his extra fluff :)

11 more week of being prego- not that I am counting or anything ;)

  2. 11 weeks!? That's crazy, you are getting close. It's nice to have a fat TB and not a skinny one. :)

    1. It's taken almost 3 years to get there and well he didn't do anything for like 6 weeks and his body was used to 5 hard rides a week. Now I gotta get him back in shape lol!

  4. Gee, the extra weight couldn't be things like getting big buckets of love, while on modified work regimen? He's going to be so happy to get back to work, weirdo pony has such a work ethic.

    1. Henry hasn't been a hard keeper per say, he is generally in hard work and I suppliment the hay the barn give with more hay and then a pelleted feed. I guess going from hard work to little i'd gain weight too lol :)

  8. Thank goodness he is an easy keeper! My sister's horses have gotten so bad she's had to put grazing muzzles on them and they get no extra feed at all!

    1. He's in a stall, well mare motel so he doesn't graze much except a few times a week here and there when he gets turned out for a bit- and our grass isn't really grass it's weeds ha!

He hasn't been an easier keeper per say- or hard either ... I just give him extra hay and Strategy because he has been in hard work and needed more then the barn feeds :) Now with such little work he just gets the barn provided hay lol :)
