Last night I opted out of the lesson to just hack so we could go out to dinner for hubby's birthday.
It was cold cold cold at the barn. I got Henry, groomed, tacked up, did a quick lunge and hopped on. Warmed Henry up and then went to work. The kids were getting a lesson so I stayed going the direction they were headed but did my own thing. Henry was great, a bit too up but he was lazy in the round pen so I didn't lunge long.

Cooled out, un tacked and re blanketed. Gave kisses and grain and headed out to dinner.
Tonight Grayson gets lots of loves and Henry gets the day off, Thursday is a hack for Henry, Friday hopefully I can get to both boys and Saturday B has her first "event" (lead line) and Henry will get a hack :)
Will B ride Henry? :) Sounds like a fun schedule!

DeleteBeing that he is only 7 months it's lots of handling and learning about life right now :) Mom and dad were cow/cutting/ranch horses.
DeleteTBA I have dabbled in western over the last 7 years but do it more for fun :) My bff is a Reiner so she gives me pointers and keeps me in check for the western world :)
So is that your future plans for him? What prompted you to buy him (other than his adorable face!)? You should write a post and give us lots more details :p
